Steve Petty joined the Lynn Institute for Healthcare Research in August 2019, as Vice President, after having served as a leader in wellness, community & healthcare development for more than 34 years. Prior to coming to Lynn, he worked for the INTEGRIS Health System for 25 years. Petty is a recognized leader in community wellness as well as implementing one of Oklahoma’s first, comprehensive men’s health initiative. He is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and holds a master’s degree in public relations from the University of Oklahoma. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Community Benefit from St. Louis University, one of only seven healthcare professionals in the nation with this graduate-level certificate. Petty is a leader on the national health level serving as Chair Emeritus of the American Public Health Association Men’s Health Caucus, a member of the Advisory Board of Directors of the Men’s Health Network in Washington, D.C., and as a Fellow of the Association of Community Health Improvement, an organization of the American Hospital Association. As CEO, he oversees Lynn operations, leads growth initiatives, and spearheads work with vulnerable communities and marginalized populations.
